Teddy bears? Yes, carved teddy bears, custom made for family audiences

This project is for people called the Gilda’s Club, dedicated to fight cancer with humour. The carving is one of a pair, mounted at the top of hutch ’n buffet style cupboards and mixes the light-hearted and childlike with a serious theme.

We intended to make something, which was meaningful, yet, not too uppity or formal. Something like comfort food. While teddy bears are depicted, they illustrate who we turn to for emotional support in our hour of need. This pair of bears represents friends, while the other pair (photo coming) represents family.

The intended audience ranges from toddlers and parents to anyone who wants a smile.

That’s how we design at House of Lafontaine –with your specific needs in mind.

More photos of this project coming up in a few weeks. Check back for more.

Lafontaine carved furniture.

Each piece has its own spirit, its own value. It's enough when you just touch it. You can tell it's handmade and not from a factory.
